04-27-2010, 9:29 Vaccano Joined on 07-31-2008 Posts 9 How do bugs work in V3? I just installed the V3 RC.  It looks really sweet! Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into this! I am confused on how a bug works in version 3.  I know I saw a post on this somewhere (it was some time ago). Anyone know where that is?  Is it still valid?  The source of my confusion is that I cant seem to find a way to tack a bug on to someone. I am used to the system where a bug is the same as a product backlog item that you put sprint backlog items onto.  It all is very different now.  That is not a bad thing, I am just looking for a heads up on how it all works.    Report

In this WIT you can also specify in which build the bug has been resolved. Because it is a seperate WIT does not mean that you cannot create Product Backlog Items for bugs. Assume that you come across a minor bug and assume that fixing it takes for some reason an estimated ideal 4 days of work in a 1 week iteration can have a serious impact on the planning. It is the customer that has the prioritize it. So even if the Scrum for Team System Process Template has a Bug Work Item Template does not mean that you should suddenly stop working with Product Backlog Items and Sprint Backlog Items for all your tasks.    Report
