Unfortunately, there are some compatibility issues with Beta 2 and RC. http://blogs.msdn.com/granth/archive/2009/12/07/tfs2010-object-model-api-changes-after-beta-2.aspx A change has been made to the visual studio APIs. This means that the current SfTS version 3 installer will not work in the RC. We will have to release a fixed version closer to the RC release date.
