Sprint Backlog item estimate

Hi
We had just completed our 3rd daily scrum of our frist Sprint. Everyone seems to be excited, as this is our first project using the Scrum process. During our daily scrum today it is discovered that a task which was estimated effort of 7 horus is now going to take 14 hours. I can't seems to be able to record that on the Sprint Backlog item form. How is the Scrum for Team system is recording this progress?

Hi Joe,
This is a fairly common suituation in a scrum project. The "Work Remaining" should be adjusted to show the correct figure. The increase in the work reaming will show up as rise in the the Burn Down chart. However, the Scrum for Team System template doesn't provide a why to store information on errors in estimation of this sort.
