New Licensing Requirements
The beta 3.1 Task Board for Team System introduces a licensing requirement. Beta Licenses are free and can be created through the licensing web site linked below:
To save existing Beta testers time, we have auto created new license accounts based on your forum name and registered email address. This means that if you have already registered as a beta forum user, you will not have to go through the account creation process.
Watch your email in box for an account reminder email. This email will detail your new license account password.
Once you have your account set up. You need to generate a license file. License files require 3 pieces of information:
- User Name (taken from the license account user name)
- Company (Free text value)
- Mac Address (see below)
Enter this information into the license generator web page and a license file will be sent to your registered email account.

What is a Mac Address?
In order to identify the machine the license key is assigned to you must
supply a valid Media Access Control address (Mac Address)
Each network adapter on your system has it's own unique Mac address. You can
view a list of available addresses by following the below actions:
- Launch a command console.
Press the [Windows Key] + R Type
CMD and hit RETURN
- At the command line prompt enter:
GETMAC and hit
RETURN
- Use the subsequent console output to identify a valid "Physical
Address" (AKA Mac Address)
Please note that in order for the license file to be validated, the selected
network adapter must be connected and enabled. If you select a Mac address and
then disable or remove that corresponding network apaptor, you will be unable to
use the dependent license.
