I found this idea very interesting! Adding tags on work items. I got the idea from here:

Basically it just adds a field that is meant for tags so you can arbitrarily group different items for queries. Interesting concept that might prove useful. I'm going to try it on our template to see if it proves useful.

I think this would work well. Currently we're using the Area Path to group work items, but a tagging field in which you can assign multiple tags would make it much easier to group work items based on different perspectives.
