However I am getting this error when I try to create a new scrum project: Plugin error text: “TF30272: Template not found on the server” Any idea what I am doing wrong?    Report

If I recall correctly, this error is to do with Sharepoint rather than TFS. Can you give more details of your setup - do you have WSS 2.0 installed on your App Tier? regards, Stuart.    Report

01-04-2008, 6:24 AM matt_cafm Joined on 12-28-2007 Posts 8 Re: Plugin error text: “TF30272: Template not found on the server” Yes, WSS 2.0 is installed on the App Tier.  I think you're right about this being related to WSS, after digging around some more on the internet it seems like i'm just missing the WSS site template that is associated with the Agile Software Development with Scrum - v1.2 process template.  Is this something you can send me or provide a link to?  It should be an 'stp' file. To verify this, please can you check for the presence of c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\60\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\tfsredirect_scrum.aspx? regards, Stuart.    Report

The C drive houses our windows OS however I installed the server components to the E drive, could this be the reason that TFS is unable to locate the WSS template? Do I need to install the server components on the same drive as Windows? Thanks in advance, Matt    Report

01-07-2008, 8:57 PM Stuart Preston Joined on 03-25-2006 Posts 178 Re: Plugin error text: “TF30272: Template not found on the server” Hi Matt, The installer looks in the registry for the default path to the WSS files (usually on the C: drive) - so yes, you usually need to leave the WSS components installing to the default location. You should be able to copy the files from your E: drive to the relevant path on the C: drive and restart IIS to solve your particular issue. regards, Stuart.    Report

01-10-2008, 6:27 AM matt_cafm Joined on 12-28-2007 Posts 8 Re: Plugin error text: “TF30272: Template not found on the server” Thanks for your help Stuart :-)  I was able to get the template to work by uninstalling and reinstalling to the C drive.  I tried manually copying the files to the c drive and restarting IIS but stilll got the same error.  It must have something to do with installing to the e drive.  Oh well, problem fixed and we're gearing up for our first sprint with Scrum for Team Systems.  I'll let you know how it goes. Only in my scenario the SCRUM installer deployed the ASPX file to the following path: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensio ns\12\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\tfsredirect.aspx There are alot of files in this folder so it seems to be the right location. Anyone have an idea on how I could fix the problem?    Report
