TFS 2005 with WSS 3.0 ... unable to create scrum project

we have configured our Team Foundation server 2005 to use wss 3.0...And I was able to create new project using the Agile Template.

Today, I tried to install the scrum template by doing the following steps:

1.I downloaded scrum version 1.2 for Team Foundation system 2005

2.On our Test server, we have WSS 2.0 ... so I ran the .msi files on this server

3.On our Test server, I created new team project using scrum Template successfully

4.From the site settings, I saved the site as Template to get the (.stp) file

Now I need to add this template to TFS 2005 server (that has wss 3.0)

5.On TFS 2005 Server, I ran the two (msi) files of the scrum version 1.2 for TFS 2005

6.From the command prompt, I added the scrum template

stsadm -o addtemplate -filename "C:\scrum.stp" -title "Agile Software Development with Scrum"

stsadm -o enumtemplates

Iisreset

7.When I try to create new Team project, I see the scrum Template.. But when I select it to create new team project, I get this error:

documents to the Windows SharePoint Services server on devserver.

The reason for the failure cannot be determined at this time.

Because the operation failed, the wizard was not able to finish

creating the Windows SharePoint Services site.

Please Note that I don't have any issue with creating new team projects using Agile or CMMI Templatee...I get this error only with the scrum Template

Please help me out to solve this issue

Hi Rasha,

Sorry but, the Scrum for Team System version 1.2 process template will not work in a WSS 3.0 envrionment.
